ABOUT THE ARTIST
Tate McRae is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and dancer who rose to fame after competing on the reality dance show So You Think You Can Dance at just 13 years old, becoming the first Canadian finalist. Known for her unique voice and raw, introspective lyrics, McRae launched her music career by sharing original songs on YouTube, with her breakout single, “you broke me first,” propelling her to global stardom in 2020. Her sound blends pop, alternative, and R&B influences, resonating with a young audience through themes of heartbreak and self-discovery. Signed with RCA Records, she’s since released popular tracks like "rubberband" and "feel like shit" and her EP too young to be sad (2021). With a rapidly growing fanbase and critical acclaim, McRae has been named an artist to watch by major outlets and continues to be recognized for her impactful storytelling and relatable style.
